Thanks to Kristine and her status, I’ll admit i’m absolutely, totally, completely, heavily in love with Lupe Fiasco. To tell the truth, Hip Hop is not my favourite music, but what Lupe’s doing is so wonderful and ingenious that you can’t remain impervious to his sound.
Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor, such a nice album title for a masterpiece. Even the artwork is a bomb. Lupe announced that he will release only three albums, and when I heard the quality of F&L, I was stuned: the kid did a jewel on his first release, this is more than promising. 16 pure hits, all giving a new shot to what hip hop can be today. Lupe’s mixing styles and feelings, going beyond codes and rules.
Lupe Fiasco – Daydreamin’ (Feat. Jill Scott) Lupe’s Massive Hit
The Cool, second release, makes Lupe’s talent a reality. Darker lyrics, tougher sound, but the genious remains here. The artist gives an extreme importance to featurings, selecting his co-singers and musicians meticulously. Special mention to the songs with Matthew Santos. With all these qualities, The Cool still sounds like a heart beat for me. I discovered Lupe with it, and the way I did so definitely represent some real good times.
Lupe Fiasco – Paris, Tokyo AWDOF hymn maybe? Anyway, how cool it can be to listen to this one while travelling? That’s how I found it..
And now…Now We’re all waiting for his last and ultimate album, LupE.N.D., postponed again and again, AND I START TO BE REALLY REALLY REALLY IMPATIENT, so please, Lupe, if by any luck you see these words, do something. We’re hundreds to wait for you, one last time..
